plastic can’t breath like styrofoam

As long as you provide them with the proper moisture and decomposing organic material, they will do fine. They prefer darkness, so keep them out of the sun light since the sides of your containers are clear.

dig some soil up from the yard throw a few stones at the bottom,put the soil in (lightly damp) and the worms will be happy.throw a few leaves on top and keep in the shade,they will be fine for a while.
